About the event

With great pleasure, the Danish OR Society (DORS) welcomes you to the 33rd EURO Conference at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

With a population of 5.8 million, Denmark has a strong operations research community. DORS can proudly count on over 300 members from academia and industry. Born in 1962, DORS has the dual purpose of promoting development within the different branches of operations research and work for its applications within different problem domains.

DTU develops technology for people. With our international elite research and study programmes, we are helping to create a better world and solve the global challenges formulated in the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Hans Christian Ørsted founded DTU in 1829 with a clear vision to develop and create value using science and engineering to benefit society. That vision lives on today. DTU has 13,400 students and 5,800 employees. We work in an international atmosphere and have an inclusive, evolving, and informal working environment. DTU has campuses in all parts of Denmark and in Greenland, and we collaborate with the best universities around the world.

The conference venue is in DTU Lyngby campus in the northern part of Copenhagen, close to the sea and the forest of Dyrehaven. The campus is connected to the city of Lyngby and Copenhagen via bus and suburban train lines. We have a modern campus with upgraded learning facilities.

Copenhagen is a central transport hub in Europe, making it easy to reach by plane, train and car. The airport of Copenhagen is a central hub of Scandinavian Airlines with connections to all over Europe and important overseas hubs. By train, there are connections from Norway, Sweden and Germany to Copenhagen central and bridges like the Øresundsbroen and the Great Belt bridge ensure a dense and connected highway system.
